Bill: Budget proposal and debate of August 2625

Details

Submitted by[?]: Spenocratic Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2626

Description[?]:

The Spenocratic Party propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Ascendant Union Of Greater Likatonia.

We would like to get the government out of the market as much as possible, but the purpose of this bill is more so to start a debate. Instead of parties saying "we spend to much" or "programs are under funded" we would like parties to propose where they think we should be spending.

I, Bobby Kasten, Finance Candidate for the Spenocratic Party, would like all of the Likatonian Finance Critics and Candidates from every party to come together and create a budget that works for Likatonians.

OOC: The GDP changes time to time, keep that in mind when talking numbers. I prefer to talk about spending as a percent of GDP but I will also give the $ amount of how much it will cost.

MessageWe aren't, actually. Handouts to certain businesses have made the whole playign field unlevel. If you've got good enough lobbyists, you get help, whether you need it or not.

We back this cut, but hope that it's balanced by an allocation of funds to help those who really DO need it.
