Bill: Discipline in Schools
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Bolshevik Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2627
Description[?]:
By letting schools determine discipline levels instead of local governments parents will be able to choose which disciplinary method is best for their child without having to relocate to an entirely different region. Students that are more mature can benefit from a more lax environment while 'troublesome' types can be dealt with a more disciplinary approach without pegging entire regions to the majority of how their students behave. We have a great private school system that allows for specialization and diversity -- let's use it. |

Message | Assuming this means public schools, we completely oppose it, public schools should be run by the people who send their kids to those schools, so this should left up to the people of local areas to decide. They can choose how the public schools are run, not the government. However, we by no means think private schools should be run by anyone, they should be able to set their own discipline levels without interference from the government. |

Message | Dranland does not have any public schools. |
Date | 04:03:56, August 25, 2008 CET | From | Dranland First Party (CC) | To | Debating the Discipline in Schools |
Message | We agree with the sentiment of the TCP. Local communities and families are most concerned by discipline in schools, so it is only right that their representative local government determines discipline levels in public schools, rather than the schools themselves. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
