Message | The LSU will support this piece of legislation. We feel that patients' rights must be increased, and Death With Dignity must be an option. However, we feel that if rights are to be safeguarded, clear laws and regulations should be put into place; laws and regulations that abolish, or in the worst case, minimize potential for abuse. |

Message | As the immediate desires of a person in a vegetative state are typically impossible to derive, the Shylock Party is against this bill. There have been several notable cases of people in seemingly hopeless comas reviving, and going on to return to being productive members of society. Our state of awareness of the nature and neurology of coma patients is too limited to be so easy-going with slaying them. |

Message | Until the bill actually provides these laws and regulations on euthanasia, the Council cannot support it. |
