Article 2
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning the export of weapons to other nations.
Old value:: The government must approve all arms sales on a case by case basis.
Current: The government allows conventional arms to be exported freely.
Proposed: The government allows arms to be sold only to close allies.

Message | The JLSP opposes all sales of arms to foreign countries, even close allies, and can not support article 2. An opinion on article 1 is forthcoming. While we agree counterintelligence is important for our security, we do not feel giving an organisation permission to spy on our neighbours in times of peace is particularly ethical. |
