Message | Once again, despite our vast hatred for unions, we follow the principle of Laissez-Faire. |

Message | Absolutely not. Consider the implications of this legislation - if doctors, policemen, firemen, ambulance drivers, and other employees of such importance to the functioning of society, were to go on strike at their own will, it could be an absolute catastrophe. A job of such importance comes with a responsibility and an obligation to others - a duty of care. If one becomes a doctor, he must understand that this role comes with an obligation to dying patients. If a one becomes a fireman, he must understand that his obligation is first and foremost to the people that it is his job to save, prior to any selfish demands he may have. This legislation is absolutely ridiculous, and puts the 'rights' of self-righteous, self-interested unionists before social safety and security. |
