MessageThe Treasury has a current surplus of 43,522,837,342 HCR, which means we only need to raise 754,301,162,658 HCR in revenue, and as the current tax of 54% on wealthier citizens is quite plainly extortionate, we Conservatives propose to reduce the tax on these citizens by 6%. We do not believe it is fair (with such an ample surplus) to continue taxing successful capitalists at such a rate that the Government takes more of what they earn than they do! The (approximately) 4 billion HCR left could possibly be spent on other departments, as the money is not sufficient to provide for more tax cuts.

MessageWe would prefer that any tax cuts be made at the lower end of the taxable spectrum as this would provide tax cuts for all members of our citizenry rather than just the wealthy. Moreover, to state that the government takes more money than they earn is plainly ridiculous as they still receive a 54% taxation only on the income above 60,000HCR but only receive tax of 29% on the previous 20,000HCR.
We would also prefer that a new budget be drawn up before additional tax cuts be made, and then that money subsequently surplus be used to provide for those additional tax cuts that would then be available.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.

Random quote: "Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." - Winston Churchill
