MessageThe President has failed to produce a cabinet, and my party has had to remain in charge of vital offices in order to keep the government running for nearly two years now. This situation is untenable.

If new elections are not called and a cabinet is not put together by January 1 2639, We and our Reformed Conservative allies will resign from our offices in the cabinet, bringing all aspects of the federal government to a halt. We do this in order to force leadership on the President and his party.

MessageIf those Ministers were to resign, the President, as Head of Government, has the power to name Acting Ministers, which will not halt anything in the government. We hope the Christian League understands that Ministries are ran by thousands of people, not just the Minister. Therefore, not having a Minister is not a problem. We will contact the President to let him know what his options are with respect to the Acting Ministers.

MessageThe President has no such powers - unless it's just one of many the LP invented/imposed to benefit itself.

MessageOf course, those Acting Ministers will stay in office until a new cabinet is passed or replaced by the President (whoever that may be).

OOC: To give it a more formal position, a cabinet proposal is always better. That's undestandable.

MessageCheck all the previous cases of such actions being taken by the Head of Government. The President is now the Head of Government as well.

MessageI encourage the Liberal Party to check the constitution and not use previous illegal actions as justification for infringing on the power of the Senate.

MessageWe won't argue with you. There is precedence of such actions, in many instances. The President is the Head of the Cabinet in all sense of the word.

OOC: As you know, there is something called Deputy Ministers, those are the people who take over when the Minister resigns until a new Minister is appointed. There is no argument of whether or not that happens or exists.

MessageThe United Republics Party having supported the Lodamese National Party in the past urge the President to propose a unity cabinet in which the current Christian ministers retain their posts and fill the vacant positions with LNP members. The URP would vote for such a cabinet even if excluded from it. I also believe the opposition would agree to this. Otherwise I suggest the President step aside and endorse the call for new elections.

Messageooc: deputy ministers would still be represented by the partys from which the ministers came from logically, and since these parties are ones not being invited by the nationalists to form a coalition, it would mean all cabinet positions are currently occupied by allies of the previous CL government.

MessageI have agreed to the passing of this bill. The results of these elections will decide, not only my future as President, but as Leader of the LNP.

I can only formally apologise to the Senate and to the people for my inability to form a cabinet.

MessageForming a cabinet is very hard sometimes even with willing partners. The key is to keep pounding at it. You might have to propose several before one takes. -Just for future reference.

MessageOOC: Please check previous bills naming Deputy Ministers and you will notice that it is not the case. Deputy Ministers can be from a different party than the Minister. For example, I had the Progress Party (an ally of mine), as Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister. His job was to help me with Foreign Affairs and take over whenever I needed him to. We have had several Acting Ministers, in fact, once we had almost the entire cabinet with Acting Ministers except Foreign Affairs and Defense, which were controlled by myself.

MessageOOC: I agree with the URP on that one. Look, it comes with practice, don't worry about it. You'll be better at it the next time.
