Message | The euthanasia article is ridiculous...we are agast at how the CC is able to equivocate a consensual and noble way to end pain and suffering with murder. We also do not like the jive of article 1. |

Message | We agree with article one, but not article two. Both strongly enough to once again abstain. |

Message | We would be willing to propose article 1 in a seperate legislation if the SoL could pledge support. |

Message | In response to the NFP's comments: We cannot possibly see how assisted suicide could be considered 'noble', by any stretch of the imagination. The obviously more 'noble' option is palliative care, through which terminal patients could live the rest of their days in peace and comfort, and die with dignity. Human life should not be treated as some sort of expendable commodity - surely life is more valuable in our society than that. Furthermore, nobody in such dire circumstances could possibly be of sound enough mind to make a rational decision as to whether they should live or die, nor could anybody else. A decision of such magnitude cannot possibly be made at all. |

Message | Living as an impotent, brain-dead vegetable for 20 years should be a decision made by the afflicted, not some abstract appeal to the sanctity of life. The CC does not want to protect life, they want to mandate the living dead. |

Message | Support in full. The idea that it would be allowed to murder an innocent human life, just so the mother can live a more comfortable life is absolutely disgusting. The only time an abortion should be permitted, is if the mother and the unborn child are going to die. And if you didn't perform it, two people would die. So if there is chance of saving one of those two people's lives through an abortion, then it should be permitted. I do not think making all abortions illegal would include the situation where both the mother, and the unborn child's life are at great risk, and the only way to save one of those lives, is through an abortion. So we support this in full. |
