Message | I don't think that this is what the proposal means. I think this proposal actually renders defamation unactionable. The previous legislation would not stop the National Inquirer or Bi-weekly World News or the Daily Sun publishing utter garbage, but they ran the risk of being sued over it. I read the current proposal as guaranteeing that these organs can publish what they like and be exempt from defamation law. |
