MessageI think the current structure is unclear. The URP prefers a strong HoG and making the HoS more ceremonial.

MessageThis bill would remove the military power from the HoG, which has been badly abused in the past. The Christian Leage wants to see military powers given to one individual, rather than abused by several.

MessageSupreme military power has always been given to the President. The Head of Government, as chair of the cabinet, should have oversight (also called control) over the military. The last word is always given by the President as Commander in Chief (look at title).

MessageThe URP will now support this amendment. While we still believe in a strong HoG and a weak HoS, the proposed amendment would eliminate confusion.
