Curfews limit time people can go out, time that lots of people need to buy food or goods and go to work. A more effective policy toward preventing crime would be to increase police fuding and numbers, instead of limiting people's rights and time. |

Message | We dislike the idea of any government being allowed to establish a curfew for any purpose other than that of emergency, so we support this legislation, but we would like to see it followed up with a bill allowing local governments to establish curfews during a declared state of emergency.
