MessagePartially agree with PP. Would rather it be limited to mainstream religions though.

MessageWhy should a parent be able to let a school indoctrinate their child?

A child should recieve a religion-neutral education, in order to be more able to make their own choices, based on their own experiences, later in life.

MessageWe support. Parents have plenty of time to indoctrinate their kids at home. Let teachers spend their time teaching.

MessageOne more thing...
MDP - our government has to night to regulate or recognize religions. What is the point of that?

MessageGovernments don't usually regulate, but they do recognize religions...for purposes of tax-exemptions.

Many religions fall under charitable organizations..as non-profits ..some don't, but many do. It is a very complex issue.

The MDP somewhat defers on the side of the parent when it comes to education. In short.. no objection to attending parochial schools per se... but at the same time supports regulations of these schools so they are teaching basic education.

MessageThe government may well recognise certain religions as charitable organisations, but that doesn't necessarily mean recognising them as religions.

MessageSo register them as charities, and allow registered charities to set up schools.
