Bill: Protection of National Industries and Companies Act of 2647

Details

Submitted by[?]: Socialist Party of Aldegar

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2648

Description[?]:

The practice of local governments regulating investment is a terrible idea. Certain areas of the country can be taken over by foreign corporations. This is a national security issue of which affects and encompasses the security of the nation and the right of foreign investment should rest with the central government... This precedence gives local governments the right to make and change every law from segregation to civil marriage. We cannot afford to jeopardize the national and economic security of the nation.

MessageIf you have been watching closely, we have been careful as to not give local governments the power to infringe basic civil rights. But in regards to foreign investment, for Aldegar to be competitive we must have competing regions. Only through this intra-competition can the best ideas of how to attract FDI be found.

Random fact: Particracy does not allow official national flags of real-life nations or flags which are very prominent and recognisable (eg. the flags of the European Union, the United Nations, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union or the Confederate States of America).
