From | United Republics Party | To | Debating the Impeachment Against President Violet Baker | Message | I won't answer your hypotheticals. Please provide evidence that false names were on campaign contributions and produce the law you claim is broken. The Liberal Party presented these "charges." So please explain why impeachment is warranted by providing specifics because while I'm willing to answer specific charges, I will not be goaded into a Liberal witch hunt. |

From | United Republics Party | To | Debating the Impeachment Against President Violet Baker | Message | OOC: I read the newspaper. There is no evidence of laws broken. A partisan report with no basis in fact is not evidence. Please provide evidence. As for RP - this is bad. I will no longer participate because there is no valid rp here. When the Foreign Minister broke specific laws passed by the Senate governing RP you complained to the mods. I wonder how in your mind this action is valid when no law is broken (you have been unable to produce ANY law citing restrictions on campaign contributions and the Liberal Party cannot roleplay contributions made to another party. |

From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Impeachment Against President Violet Baker | Message | OOC: First of all, this is a bill to allow debate. I do not have to produce any evidence now. The Foreign Affairs Minister situation was totally different as you tried to incapacitate my character. You keep bring it up when it was already dealt with by a moderator. As far as roleplay, I can claim anything I want, whenever I want. I control the Internal Affairs Ministry, I roleplay it. Any illegal action within this country is under the jurisdiction of the Internal Affairs Ministry. I never mentioned your characters by name in the news report. That is good ropleplaying. I am afraid that impeachment is not something you chose to participate in or not. If your character gets impeached and removed, it loses its powers. Again, we are not violating the roleplaying rules because we are not incapacitating your character. If this legislature finds that the accusations are credible enough, and removes the President, you have no choice but to abide by it. I understand you disagree with the accusations but there is a big difference between disagreement and it being a clerical error (foreign affairs Minister controversy). You can go ahead and disagree but since we are not violating the roloplaying rules, this impeachment is valid as long as the Senate votes for it. |
