Message | I have been a champion of gay rights since the days I have served with the Rutanian Democratic Forum before the Confucian League was commissioned. The Kuomintang will not support this bill. We support the current "Shoot Straight, not be Straight" policy that was drafted and upheld by late PCP congressman Barney Goldwasser. Like Mr. Goldwasser once said, "A soldier doesn't need to be straight, he just has to shoot straight." -Dr. Kirby Fung, Chairman of the RKMT |

Message | Under careful consideration, the Grand Liberal Party would like to apologize for their first remarks on the subject, and take more time to think upon the matter, as we have heard a good debate from the RKMT, whom we agree with on many subjects. David Collins Leader - Founder of the Grand Liberal Party. |

Message | The Grand Liberal Party have decided to vote against this bill. Once again, this is partially a matter of freedom, and if people in the military can not be openly gay, then they are not truly free. If a gay man is in the military, he may or may not want people to know. Many gay men do not make their sexual orientation public, and if it bothers any straight men, the issue of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" comes in to play. It may not be a policy in the current policy on this matter, but it could be a principal many gay, or straight men use already. David Collins Leader - Founder of the Grand Liberal Party. |
