MessageRegulate the behaviour of any person? The government enforces these laws to set and maintain boundaries. We do not want a dozen of drunken people parading in the streets causing disgust to the public.

MessageThe bill that the KMT has drafted and that has passed is NOT prohibition. We do not outlaw, nor do we want to outlaw all sales or consumption of alcohol. We feel that alochol sales need to be regulated. We do not want alcohol to get into the hands of minors.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.
