Description[?]:

We denounce the Ratification of the Child Labour Treaty legislation and wish to reverse said bill. We know what is moral and just. We know how to justly treat our own children. Telamon is NOT a nation of sheep and we do NOT need other nations to tell us how to behave.

MessageBefore you choose to vote against a bill it may help for the bill to have a proposal in it. We will be including a proposal that withdraws Telamon from the Child Labour Treaty (ratified July 2548).

Telamon, and COM in particular, believe in the content of the Child Labour Treaty. However, we object to an international body telling us how to handle internal matters. We will fight to protect children and their rights. But, we do not need a treaty to tell us to do this. Parliament is smart enough to do the right thing on this issue.

There are 45 nations in compliance with the treaty who are not signing members. They know how to protect children and their rights without relying on an international body. I say Telamon is as good if not better than those 45 nations.

We do not need a treaty to tell us to treat children humanely. We know it in our hearts and minds and do it of our own accord. Let\'s remove the unnecessary red tape.

MessageWe will support this bill as we feel that it is wrong that our sovereignty as a nation and a parliament is restricted by this treaty. We do not see the harm in children being allowed to get a paper round our part time job to help them get work experience in a area that they want to follow as a career.

COM has our FULL support!

TNP Leader.

MessageWe are not opposed to restrictions on children working. Such restrictions are in the children\'s best interest. But, we oppose other nations telling us what to do. It is on those grounds that we propose and support this legislation.
