MessageYes. We will vote against this because we feel that it is necessary for our nation to reserve the right to such weaponry in the event that we might really need them. IT DOESN'T MEAN WE ARE DEVELOPING THEM, JUST THAT WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DEVELOP THEM!

We have no objection to article 3.

MessageAll right, considering that you've got all the seats in the parliament, that's basically a no. But just consider it, biological and chemical weapons spread disease and sickness between people, not distinguishing those we're targetting and anybody else. They're just plain sick. And why would we bother "reserving the right to deveop them" if we're not gonna develop and use 'em anyway? This nullifies the possibility that we ever use them, besides, research is still allowed...

MessageI propose that we you simply delete Article 2. We then have the safeguard of not being able to use these weapons first, which greatly narrows down the possibility of them being fired, but still allows us to have the option in an emergency.

MessageWhat happens then if it becomes a World War with countries all retailating with nuclear and chemical weapons ? Who survives then ? The Nation who has a space base on the Moon ? Best way is to have Alliances and Treaties with other Nations who have the view of ' No Use' in the hope that eventually all Nations follow suit. As far as research and development, we all remember the Atomic Bombs and how they were never intended to be used. So it does happen, you have something developed and chances are one day it will be used. Better to have a World of Nuclear and Chemical Disarmourment and no Research. Who wins a Nuclear War, only the nation that is lucky to have persons left alive, and they will properly die later after the effects on the atmosphere and chemicals spread.
