Message | Why the HLP thinks this is a good idea. 1. Refugees given money from the government have to spend it in local communities to set themselves up. Meaning that local communities are given direct cash injections prompting growth. 2. Refugees and immigrants fill vacant jobs. Providing the government with taxes and giving the industry extra labor to produce more. 3. Anyone who has a criminal record or would bring disrepute to Hulstria are stopped at the border according to the foreign policy of \"The nation imposes strict border control on visitors, with intensive security checks, to maintain law and order\". To claim to be a refugee requires you to get past the first border control at the gates of terminal. |

Message | The LPH supports Article 1, but not Article 2. 1. Or they send their money back home 2. True, but these people wouldn\'t be taxed under HLP tax policy if I a remember correctly (due to the high probability of low income) 3, If we have a huge wave of immigrants it is very very unlikely all will be screened especially if they come from a war torn nation, criminals would still get through and create slums. |

Message | 1. If they send the money home, how do they rent out an apartment/house and buy essentials? 2. Less than 15000 HCR a year would be very difficult to live off, they are more likely to be in the 30000 HCR range for low income (OOC - I don\'t know how much you get for 1 HCR, so I\'m assuming australian dollars, I\'m not sure how much it would be in American). 15000 is more a part time wage. 3. How do criminals = slums? It would equal an increase to crime but considering how Hulstria supports extradition and the difficulty of gaining a citizenship, anyone who commits crime can be deported. |
