Bill: Social Reform Bill 61: Troop Reinforcement in Cobura Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kristen Socialdemokratisk Partiet

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2672

Description[?]:

This is the 61st bill in the Social Reform series. Jeltaria has attacked Cobura, and as a member of the Collective Security Council, we need to send troops to protect them. As we are a pacifist state, our army is small. Our parties private regime of the military has sent around 127,000 troops to help. Our party requests that we, as a nation, send 3/5 of our active personnel to defend this innocent nation. Roughly .42 percent of our population is in the national military, so we would be sending a little more than 670,000 troops to help defend Cobura. So far, they have been deeply hurt by this invasion. To send troops, this bill will need 2/3 of the legislature to vote yes. We will handle this in a humane and hopefully non-violent way. We will try and remain ad non-violent as possible in this fight to protect people's lives.

Thank you for your support.

MessageKazulia currently has 1 172 694 soldiers (According to the Rildanor Accord) in its current service, and 1 022 199 soldiers in reserve. (after the Rildanor Accord, which is the RP rule source for the number of troops). So we would be sending exactly 703 616 soldiers to Cobura.

However, there are problems with this bill:

The Security Council is dead at this time. There are but a few nations in it, all of them probably unwilling to help Cobura, which is at the moment teared apart by the Jeltarian empire on the one, and the NWO on the other hand. If we were to send soldiers there, we would have to do this by declaring war - this means the rules of Rildanor come in here once more, as it states in the Rildanor Accord:

a)i)"A Nation's Army can only be deployed by a 50% majority proposal, including the support of the Minister of Defence, the Minister for Foreign Relations to permit their declaration of and spending for war, as well as the HoG's approval and HoS's approval if they are elected."

At this moment we control both the Minister of Defence and the Minister of Foreign Relations, and we think that it is too dangerous for Kazulia to declare war on both the NWO and the Jeltarian Empire.

However, if the situation changes, we might change our stand on this too.

MessageThis is not a declaration of war, just defending a fellow country. And secondly, where did this come to be?

Is this in a constitution or something?

MessageAnd for a deployment of troops, a country needs to declare war, also in the Rildanor Accords. We could however send the Kazulian Peace Corps, we wouldn't need a declaration for this.
