Bill: Wolf Initiative: Crownland Representation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Republican Coalition
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2668
Description[?]:
Proposed by Kanath Wolf of the Republican Coalition This Act permits the smaller, lower represented crownlands to have an equal say in national politics to the larger central crownlands. This allows for cultural equality in the crownlands, such as Gao-Shotan Mitrania, which has often been drowned out in national politics by the Hulstrian Majority. This is by no means marginalising the Hulstrian people, or the aristocrats of Hulstria nor the Urbanised people of Budenlar, as they remain the majority in both the elections for the Head of State and overall, there being more Hulstrian Provinces then Gao-Shotan or other minority areas. |

Message | "Considering that the HNP presently controls over 16% of the Diet and 60 more seats than the RC, I felt that our opinion should be expressed. I would also inquire as to your address to me as 'it'. Would that be a sexist remark?" -Cornelia Pietersen Staatsminister of Greater Hulstria Chairman of the HNP DM for Graaffsberg South |

Message | "Actually no, but being unable to understand that the "it" mentioned referred to the RC practically merits one." Datha Khan Candidate for Justice "Your opinion is unneeded in formal form when all parties know you will oppose almost any bill presented by the RC. It would be far more striking were you to mention the rare case of support, and far more meaningful an action." Silas Thisan Candidate for Interior Ministry |

Message | (OOC: According to conventional English grammar...you're incorrect, but whatever, it's semantics.) "We do not oppose every single piece of RC legislation, just as we do not oppose every single piece of FAP legislation, nor do we support every single piece of LPH or CLP legislation. In this instance, however, you are attempting to redraw the electoral map so that areas of larger numbers of citizens receive proportionally less of a voice than areas with smaller numbers of citizens. Interestingly, the Crownland that will be most adversely affected by this would be Hilgar, traditionally the Crownland with the largest Gao-Showa population, and one of the Crownlands which will benefit, Hulstria. The fact that you could not discern the difference between 59,428,699 (Hilgar's population) and 51,158,447 (Hulstria's population) or 41,515,333 (Kuratha's population) is quite troublesome. Additionally, I would seriously question your assessment of Mitrania as 'Gao-Showa', considering that the Crownland is mainly White and in fact Hulstrian Nationalist Party was born in Mitrania, and was for centuries the sole real voice of Mitranian interests, which include strong support for devolved government. So in addition to being ideologically wrong, it also contravenes your stated goals." -Cornelia Pietersen Staatsminister of Greater Hulstria Chairman of the HNP DM for Graaffsberg South |

Message | OOC: Doesn't Mitrania have the largest proportion of Gao-showa in the population, followed by Hilgar and then Kuratha? |
