Bill: Mininum Wage
Details

Voting deadline: January 2123
Description[?]:
It's shocking to know that Aldegar, the beacon of democracy, has no mininum wage laws. It is to say, our workers are perhaps the most underfunded of all, when we subsidize certain businesses and nationalize the armaments industry. What incentive to we offer our workers? How have we survived so far with a policy that dates back to the Medieval era and the early Renaissance? The Junker Party implores all to grant a mininum wage based on the poverty line, where a single worker, working full time, is guaranteed a wage that allows him to 'live well'. It is to say, above the poverty line. Imagine the United States which has a population that is around 20% under the poverty line. Now imagine us. Aldegar most likely has over 60% of its population under the poverty line, allowing for business managers to abuse their workers, with the latter able to do nothing. Is this not why we went thorugh the 1910s and 1920s? Please, grand then what they need to survive. |
