Description[?]:
The Poet Revolution believes that our nation's ecological policy needs reform. The bill is proposed with the following rationale: Article 1: There is no need for our government to require the registration the ownership of domesticated animals. By definition, they are safe for household ownership, and thus there is no need for regulation. Article 2: Endangered animals are particularly important and in need of protection. This rehabilitation should be left, and only left, to trained zoologist in zoological institutions until these creatures are out of the danger zone, so that they will not be lost to the ravages of time. Article 3: To protect hunted species from over hunting and fishing, when and where these recreational activities are undertaken should be regulated. Article 4: Recycling, while encouraged, should NOT be mandatory for any citizen of the Republic. Article 5: To prevent overburdening the land, replanting should only be done at replacement numbers and not above. |

Message | We have mixed feelings about this bill, but have particular reservations about the article regarding wild animal ownership and the article regarding endangered animal ownership. Helen Capoletti Chairwoman Democratic Capitalist Delegation |
Date | 04:31:19, December 10, 2008 CET | From | Poet Revolution Party | To | Debating the PRP Bill of Ecology |
Message | We will remove the article concerning wild animal ownership, as there does already exist a list of dangerous animals which may not be kept as pets. However, allowing the trade in, however regulated, of endangered animals is an invitation to the exploitation of these animals which are already in trouble. |
