Message | "I agree with Article 2, but am undecided on Article 1 and leaning toward no." I informed the World Jewish Society about your previous part in the banning of jewish schools. - did they get in contact with you? I must inform them about the latest! |

Message | Yes, they did contact me and I laid out my argument nicely. The leader accepted my good intentions although urged me to accept strictly regulated public schools. I told him that due to my strong feelings in both directions, I will never be comfortable with either decision, and I would always use my best judgement in deciding these. I remain a member. |

Message | Also, half the leadership seems to agree whole-heartedly with my decision, while half are against. Your contact will not be highly damaging in the least. |

Message | "Also, half the leadership seems to agree whole-heartedly with my decision, while half are against. Your contact will not be highly damaging in the least." The reason I contacted the WJC is because you are a member of the WJC and you are baning Jewish schools. I thought that they had a right to know. I'm a member of two Christian organisations, if I voted no to this bill, I wouldn't be worth my salt. I was simply informing them about this, thats all. If the WJC like to ban Jewish schools, thats fine, I didn't think they agreed with that, but we live and learn. |

Message | The PLP is against private schools of any sort, but especially religious schools. We oppose private schools because all parents should have the same educational options, so that educational inequity does not preserve families' economic inequity. We oppose religious schools in particular because some-- maybe not even more, but some-- will teach creationism and many would have absintence-only sex education, and to teach a child that sort of thing is child abuse. |
