Bill: Recall GCF Act of 2099 - Constitutional Reform

Details

Submitted by[?]: Mouvement des Conservateurs

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2125

Description[?]:

This is a recall from a proposal done by our party in 2099 concerning a constitutional reform.
With no support, now 23 years ago and allot is changed.

OOC: I'm a supporter of the system we use in Belgium, however the difference would be that in my country only the head of the government can form a cabinet and he only needs to form a majority (more than 1/2 of the total seats) which includes most of the time only 2 or 3 parties, even less.

IC: So, and if there are any objections, please tell me, I would like to change the constitution a bit and explain my government coalition forming act, as a proposal to the National Forum:

1.) The day after the elections, the former/current Head of the Government announces the dismissal of the government, to the King of Rildanor.

2.) The new/former Head of Government starts the formation of a new government by (privately) debating with other parties and trying to find a coalition partner and set up a government agreement (bill proposal agenda - government program) - This most often happens with the second biggest party or parties who have similar program issues. The government coalition does have to represent more than 1/2 of the seats, once it does, no other parties can be involved.
Forming the cabinet is giving ministry-posts to the government parties only, which could look a bit unfair. However, certain parties do like to play their way in the opposition.

Both are no objections what so ever but just an act to have this 'in writing' as the way things should go.

MessageDidn't you disagree with this bill that you proposed last time? What happens if we have another LSP thing happen, we have no government from 7 days IRL. That's a long time with a state of anarchy.

MessageI did, but as I said because there was no support. There is no party succeeding in forming a government coalition all by themself unless they have a single majority.
