Bill: Budget proposal of February 2681

Details

Submitted by[?]: Genuine Progress Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2681

Description[?]:

The Party for Democratic Action and Progress propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Democratic Republic of Aloria.

Decreasing the defense budget to "pre-war levels", as stated by the APP, will be symbolic of the nation's return on the path to peace. Increasing the infrastructure budget will help rebuild vital structures in our nation. Increasing the health and agriculture budget will help improve the quality of life in Aloria after the ill effects caused by the nuclear attacks.

MessageYes, but the increases on infrastrucute should be greater.

WE HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO SPEND AT LEAST 90 BILLION ON INFRASTRUCTURE WITHOUT RAISING TAXE AT ALL.

I think that we shoudl be spending even more on infrastrucutre, but given that there probably isn't the political will to raise taxes or have deficits, but I think we can at least spend the surplus on badly need infrastructure improvements.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.

Random quote: “Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule - and both commonly succeed, and are right.” --H.L. Mencken
