Bill: Parental Freedom Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Genuine Progress Alliance
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2682
Description[?]:
This bill aims to remove government intervention with regards to the qualifications of being a parent. It is true that the government has a role in protecting the family, which is the basic institution of the land. However, by letting local governments have the authority to decide whether a person can be qualified to be a parent, we are taking away much of their freedom in raising a family. |

Message | No, we wouldn't be taking it away. The local governments under their soverign territory would be. |

Message | But even local governments shouldn't have the capability to interfere that much in raising a family. They can help families when they are having marital problems and abuse, but having to require qualifications for aspiring parents limits their freedom to raise a family. If this freedom must be limited, the current law isn't the way to do it. |
