| Are territories abroad shall be known as New Aloria, and shall be divided into five party, named Leif, Canning, Stanhope, Hoover, and Harpe (with one named for every wartime President of Free Aloria. Each shall be governed by a colonial governor appointed by parliament, and each one of them shall answer to the Governor of New Aloria, also appointed by parliament. The Governor of New Aloria can veto any action taken by a colonial governor. The Governor of New Aloria also is the commander in chief of the colonial militia and conducts he foreign affairs of New Aloria (OOC: there won't be many, as we've pretty much made up these colonies and can't use them for our advantage in international RP) Parliament can remove and appoint governors at anytime to any of the colonies or to New Aloria overall. This bill hereby enacts the above and appoints: The candidate from the PDAP for the Governorship of Stanhope The candidate from the APP for the Governorship of Leif The candidate from the SA for the Governorship of Canning The candidate from the NP for the Governorship of Harpe The candidate from the CPA for the Governorship of Hoover The candidate from the AGSP for the Governorship of all New Aloria Upon passage of this bill, each party with a governorship should open up a bill kept in debate from where parliament can be informed of the actions being taken in each colony. Each update must be put as a debate positing first, and then the Governor of New Aloria has 1 day (in realtime) to check it. Following this, the update is considered enacted (as it has not been vetoed by the Supreme Governor) and then posted as an update in the bill's description. When governorship switches, the new party in control will copy and paste the old bill on to their own new one, and then the old one will be canceled. If a governor does something parliament does not like, parliament can not veto it, but they can remove the governor then appoint a new one to overturn that action, anything a colonial governor that is hostile to the Republic however would be considered an illegal coup and treated as such. Parliament also can put a colony under home rule at anytime, which removes the governor from there. This puts the colony under the administration of parliament (ooc: not suggested, wouldn't be fun to jumble up colonies with the domestic rule of Aloria under parliament). So this bill gives one colony's governorship each to the APP, SA, CPA, PDAP and NP. This bill gives overall governorship of New Aloria to AGSP. ooc; Any ideas about how we can determine population? I'm thinking just put 1/100 of our own population for New Aloria then divided by five to determine the population of each one. Thats a little more then half a million for each, a very modest population, but maybe we can start off from here then decide population growth of the colonies from there. Passage of this bill does not enact anything with regards to the decision on RPing population, just putting it in here to stimulate discussion. |

| Message | Great idea, but wouldn't recommend to name the areas after those presidents. Sure, they were probarly good presidents (especially in times of war), but what about Belmore (the first Alorian president)? Or Mansfield (the longest serving president in Alorian history)? And the former presidents Rosenberg and Franco were also warpresidents (during the Kurmal Civil War of 2627-2633). Think we should rename those provinces... after more historical and more important figures in Alorian History.... But that's just an idea! |
