Message | No Rockyfeller Day. |

Message | No for Rockyfeller, but now that you mention it, we should have a day in April for the date of Alorian liberation from the NWO occupation. FVD Day, for the Freedom, Victory, and Democracy militia that brought it about. |

Message | Liberation Day sounds better. The storming of Libertia was by civilians, not militia. |
Date | 10:02:45, December 21, 2008 CET | From | New Socialist Alliance | To | Debating the A Bill for Holidays |
Message | We should celebrate the day the NWO were defeated and the Democratic Republic re-established |

Message | We like the idea of a Liberty Day, or Liberation Day. ANd maybe a memorial day to remember the victims who died during this was, and all the wars in the past? Some sort of holiday/memorial days they have in Europe, to celebrate/remember the end of WWI and WWII |

Message | btw.. thanksgiving is a typical American holiday, with an American story behind it (the pilgrims). This has nothing to do with Alorian history... replace thanksgiving with something else. Well, the same goes for christmas, this is also a real-life holiday, but we like christmas. |
Date | 20:26:54, December 21, 2008 CET | From | Communist Party of Aloria | To | Debating the A Bill for Holidays |
Message | Christmas makes sense since we have Christians (for now). Thanksgiving, however, has nothing to do with Aloria. |

Message | The storming of libertia was by militia, it was by the FVD (250,000 of them) armed. |

Message | Liberation Day Christmas Memorial, or maybe Martyr's Day And while Thanksgiving as celebrated in the states has nothing to do with Aloria, we could create a sort of equivalent, like the Harvest Festival or something. Then maybe a Bogist Festival day for our Bogist, native minority. Lets split this up into multitple proposals for each holiday maybe, as some parties maybe against one but another one, so that we can get as many holidays passed as possible. |

Message | Maybe we can call some new person for RP in Alorian History. Someone like Martin Luther King (MLK Day), a civil rights activist from the past or something.... And Memorial Day sounds oke to us. And what about Day of the Republic, to celebrate our nation just in a National Day... |
Date | 21:36:38, December 22, 2008 CET | From | Alorian Populist Party (DemCoa) | To | Debating the A Bill for Holidays |
Message | Thats good, it would be like 4th of july, so maybe liberation day could be that day... as for civil rights, I guess it would be for a native Alorian that was the activist. |
Date | 23:42:20, December 22, 2008 CET | From | Nationalist Party | To | Debating the A Bill for Holidays |
Message | Yes... 'Day of the Republic' or 'Liberty Day', to celebrate our nation and it's freedom, (what about July 6st?) and 'Memorial Day' to pay respect to all the victims in past (and current) wars in Aloria and from Alorians who died in wars abroad... (what about that the day before, July 5th? then the President first hold a speech and a memorial service for those victims who died in wars, and the next day everybody celebrates freedom and liberty with a huge national holiday, - this is how it is done in my country, having a memorial day and a celebration day, hold in May to remember the WWII victims and celebrate the liberation from the Germans in 1945). |

Message | Well, Liberation came in April, so the national, patriotic day commerating liberation would be in April. What country? It sounds interesting.. |
Date | 12:05:21, December 23, 2008 CET | From | Nationalist Party | To | Debating the A Bill for Holidays |
Message | Well, didn't know when the liberation was, just making JUly as an example, but April is O.K. And that country is The Netherlands... you can look up: 4th and 5th May. |

Message | I was never a fan of this Bogism stuff, but I'll vote YES anyway. As for the DR, well they (the party) can be annoying at times. And that's based on personal experience: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=164337 |
Date | 19:33:07, December 23, 2008 CET | From | Communist Party of Aloria | To | Debating the A Bill for Holidays |
Message | Bogism should be more different than Christianity. |
Date | 22:33:58, December 23, 2008 CET | From | Nationalist Party | To | Debating the A Bill for Holidays |
Message | we'll , you put this bill onto vote.. but what ARE the holidays now???? |
Date | 22:35:20, December 23, 2008 CET | From | Nationalist Party | To | Debating the A Bill for Holidays |
Message | I mean: what about the memorial and liberty day stuff??? and i really think the bogism part should not be on the same day as christmas... maybe another day, and bogism is not really very national, as it is only a few percent of the population that is Bogist... |
Date | 23:02:31, December 24, 2008 CET | From | Alorian Populist Party (DemCoa) | To | Debating the A Bill for Holidays |
Message | I liked DR. Lets have another bill for Liberation Day on April 15 which is celebatory and jubilant, and then Memorial/Martyr's day on April 16 which is somber. I like the idea of a harvest's festival thanksgiving like thing in the autumn, maybe in October rather then November, or Maybe September. And NP are right, lets readjust the Bogist festivals to a completely different part of year. |
