| We, the White Jasmine Party, call for the holding of a Bi-Partisan convention between the Two parties now prevalent in the Republic of Al-Badara, The Aim of this convention would be to promote the spirit of constructive political conduct within the Republic and it's current two party system, while acknowledging the differences prevalent in the agendas of both parties (particularly Religion). The Convention shall discuss the following: -The conduct of opposition parties in the Republic during current and future governments should be agreed to be within civil and appropriate measure, and both parties would forswear the use of violent methods of protest, including armed insurgency, terror attacks, extortion and otherwise, Opposition parties are also prohibited from engaging in extreme and violent foreign activities (funding insurgencies in other nation, sending party member armed expeditionary forces (OOC: seriously, that's stupid) and such) that runs counter to the foreign policy of the nation, however regular and benign action in regards to foreign policies should be permitted (fundraising for humanitarian aid, protest rallies and such). -Standing Para-military forces are henceforth dismantled and banned, these have had a bad history and often endangered the Republican values of the nation, most recent of which was the MRGA and their "Autocrat Steven", instead current para-military units will be integrated into the Republican Army as Reserve units, with an option to opt out of a conflict if desired. (OOC: and finally, we should have a discussion on what exactly the nation's background is, I suggest we agree on a Middle Eastern Like background, I also plan on starting a news thread in the forum and suggestion for a name is appreciated.) |
