Bill: Foreign Aid Reduction Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Genuine Progress Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2687

Description[?]:

This bill aims to reduce foreign aid being given to other nations to moderate levels. With the current decrease in the taxes in Aloria, our nation cannot afford to provide huge amounts of money to other nations at this rate. We should focus our expenditure of our money to the people that we should be serving first, the Alorian people. At the same time, putting foreign aid at moderate levels is a sign of not letting go of our responsibility as a member of the international community.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.

Random quote: “Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule - and both commonly succeed, and are right.” --H.L. Mencken
