Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The lyrics of the national anthem.
Old value:: Freedom In Aloria Instead of tyranny and darkness, We choose freedom and peacefulness. Liberty prevails in that path of ours, The road with the freedom where evil cowers. Freedom Aloria! Onward, Freedom in Aloria! Let there be good in our state, As we keep freedom and end hate. From Kurmal mountains to Sildar Beach, We are free in our actions and speech. Freedom Aloria! Onward, Freedom in Aloria! In Aloria the nation of great, All are free and all elate, For there's equality and love for all, Be they skinny or fat, short or tall. Freedom Aloria! Onward, Freedom in Aloria!
Current:
𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 (𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐡): Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi, Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri; Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra mâd, Tros ryddid gollasant eu gwaed. Gwlad! Gwlad! Pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad. Tra môr yn fur i'r bur hoff bau, O bydded i'r hen iaith barhau. Hen Alôr fynyddig, paradwys y bardd, Pob dyffryn, pob clogwyn, i'm golwg sydd hardd; Trwy deimlad gwladgarol, mor swynol yw si Ei nentydd, afonydd, i fi. Gwlad, &c. Os treisiodd y gelyn fy ngwlad tan ei droed, Mae hen iaith yr Alôr mor fyw ag erioed, Ni luddiwyd yr awen gan erchyll law brad, Na thelyn berseiniol fy ngwlad. Gwlad, &c. Gwerz trist, son dudius a ziwan enno. O! pegen kaer ez out, ma bro! Alor, &c. Land, &c. 𝐋𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 (𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡): The land of my fathers is dear to me, Old land where the minstrels are honoured and free; Its warring defenders so gallant and brave, For freedom their life's blood they gave. Home, home, true I am to home, While seas secure the land so pure, O may the old language endure. Old land of the mountains, the Eden of bards, Each gorge and each valley a loveliness guards; Through love of my country, charmed voices will be Its streams, and its rivers, to me. Home, &c. Though foemen have trampled my land 'neath their feet, The language of Aloria still knows no retreat; The muse is not vanquished by traitor's fell hand, Nor silenced the harp of my land. Home, &c. |
Proposed:
O Flower of Aloria, When will we see Your like again, That fought and died for, Your wee bit Mount and Plain, And stood against him, Proud Saiser's Army, And sent him homeward, To think again. The Mounts are bare now, And Autumn leaves lie thick and still, O'er land that is lost now, Which those so dearly held, That stood against him, Proud Saiser's Army, And sent him homeward, To think again. Those days are past now, And in the past they must remain, But we can still rise now, And be the nation again, That stood against him, Proud Saiser's Army, And sent him homeward, To think again. O flower of Aloria, When will we see your like again, That fought and died for, Your wee bit Mount and Plain, And stood against him, Proud Saiser's Army, And sent him homeward, To think again. |

Message | It doesn't quite fit. "when will we see you again"= longing for a new rise to glory and power. Thats works for Scotland, but not Aloria Simply put, its to scottish. I do want a new anthem though, and I appreciate this is a good start. |

Message | Not that I want the original anthem replaced, but this song is awesome. I personally think the old Anthem just needs to be revised. |

This one has less Hill and Glen and more Alorian appropriate (Kurmal)Mount(ains) and (Ultran)Plain(s). |

Message | For the short-term, the proposed anthem fits with the current situation in Aloria. But for the long-term, we don't think it will fit much longer. The proposed anthem fits a war-torn country; once we can fully restore Aloria once more, it won't fit well with the situation of Aloria by that time. So we prefer the old anthem, which highlights how this nation values freedom. The old anthem fits well in any situation that the nation may be experiencing; it can also serve as a battlecry for the fight to freedom. |

Message | Some of the current anthem is pretty tacky. |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
Random quote: "I am a conservative to preserve all that is good in our constitution, a radical to remove all that is bad. I seek to preserve property and to respect order, and I equally decry the appeal to the passions of the many or the prejudices of the few." - Benjamin Disraeli |
