Message | Privatising higher education is an extremely bad move. Universities are for education and research and must not be influenced by private interests which may have their own agendas. Furthermore, unless it is free for anyone who can qualify for admission it will be an inherently unfair system and contribute to inequality in our nation, since post-secondary education makes a great difference in the pay and social mobility of an individual. It is a duty of the government to properly fund educational institutions and guarentee that anyone who qualifies to attend can attend. To do otherwise is unfair and wastes our people's potential. |

Message | The same logic is suitable to public universities: they must not be influenced by state interests. And about inequality: our Gini-coefficient isn't lowered after a period of communism. |

Message | In a case where state power is subject to democratic accountability, such as here, it is far more preferable than private interest which can be completely unaccountable if it so wishes. I doubt the economic stats are fully functional. However, if inequality stays the same while we are deliberately trying to lower it, what do you expect will happen if we stop caring about it or trying to do anything about it? |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
