Voting deadline: May 2124

Description[?]:

This bill aims to reach a consensus on a new City centre in Gharki. We believe this must celebrate the cultural achievements and significance of Al'Badara.

The new centre is proposed to be built 2 miles east of the actual centre on disused land that was severely damaged by a series of bombings 10 years ago during the civil war. Not only will the new centre provide a new cultural revoloution and increase tourism but it will also provide a multi-tude of jobs and contribute to the growth of the economy. Here is what we have in mind for the design:

Centre: Central to the new centre will be 'The Grand Majelis (al satri majelis)'. It will be a recreation of the old palace of the monarchy that existed between 1300 and 1657 (it was destroyed by the Deltarian marches). It is a domed building that culminates in the Hall of Gold ( Constructed entirely out of gold). The Grand Majelis will be host to Army/Navy/Air Force HQ and become the new residence for The Sultane ( His current small house is not befitting of a symbolic monarch).

In front of the Grand Majelis will be a large parade ground (That will be constructed from individual coloured blocks - from the air it will be clear these blocks form the Al'Badaran flag) with a statue of Alif Aamiri The Great in the middle( complete with horse and holding a modern day Al/Badaran Flag)

Around the Parade ground the following will be constructed:

Museum Of Al'Badaran history
Museum of Al'Badaran Art
War Memorial
A statue of Long time Prime Minister Zach Da La Rocha (Holding the Al'Badaran constitution)
Large Music Hall (capacity of 12,000)
Embassy of Quanzar (Our Closest friends should have this deserved position)

Long Live the New Centre!

MessageA new expression of the glory of our Sultanate? Why not, indeed.

(That history bit sounds promising. Want to try writing up a wiki on Al'Badaran history?)

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.
