| It is proposed that in honour of the great Vincenc Simecec, liberator of the Jelbékai, a state funeral be held and a new honour be created, the Hero of the Republic, to become the highest honour that Jelbania might bestow and reserved only for those that save the nation from destruction or tyranny. A statue of Simecec is to be commissioned for the capital. ===The Honour=== The medal shall be presented to the family of Simecec at his funeral. It shall be made of solid gold, on a purple and gold ribbon, and shall depict in graphic detail the symbolic execution of Stephen P. Kennedy. With an axe. ===The Funeral=== A procession through the major thoroughfares of Baofluz, ending in one of the ancient cathedrals for the public memorial. Ten black horses to pull a black carriage, adorned in the Jelbanian colours of purple and gold. Ten days of national mourning, with only essential workers in employment. A free turkey and potato dinner for each and every citizen, no matter how poor, that it may be eaten in honour of their liberation. ===Statue=== A statue, jointly of Vincenc Simecec and Junta the Goldfish, is to be cast in bronze and placed somewhere prominent in the capital city. A duplicate is also to be commissioned for Simecec's home-town. ===Financial Arrangements=== This is to be paid for by an increase of the tax on luxury goods to 17 %, and increase in the tax on essential goods to 7 % and the sale of some of the gold, art, guns and drugs appropriated by the Kennedy family. |
