Bill: Budget proposal of September 2690

Details

Submitted by[?]: Genuine Progress Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2691

Description[?]:

The Party for Democratic Action and Progress propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Democratic Republic of Aloria.

Ministries with reduced budgets:
* Infrastructure - This country has now risen up from the war, which has been over a decade ago already. Thus, we don't think a huge budget for infrastructure is necessary.
* Health - We should take steps to minimize government role on healthcare and give more room for private professionals to be able to manage healthcare for the people. They know better about healthcare than we do.
* Trade - More companies should be privatized at this point already, and the government should loosen its grip in it.

MessageAcceptable. Health funding, as well as industry funding, also had to due with reconstruction. Health to help people recover, (fro war wounds, including nuclear radiation) or to get them back on good footing after the war for insurance and coverage, and Industry so that the economy could recover.

With Reconstruction now ten years old, the cuts are acceptable, so the APP votes yes on this proposal in order to cut the deficit.

Random quote: “The people's war isn't just a war of destruction, it is also a war of construction. We will build new facilities, new hospitals, new farms. We will seek to improve the lives of the people around us. This struggle will be as costly as the struggle against the bourgeois army, and indeed will be even more damaging to the enemy.” - Comrade X, former Hulstrian politician
