Bill: Decency in Broadcasting Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Parti Monarchiste Catholique
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2125
Description[?]:
Honourable Colleagues, Unlike cable television and other pay tv services, all one needs to view broadcast television is a tv set and some electricity. This creates a situation where young viewers may be exposed to inappropriate materials. In order to avoid this possibility, we would like to introduce a bill that would impose some regulations on the type of content television broadcasting companies can broadcast. We would like to remind our colleagues that these regulations would apply to broadcast television only, and not to cable, satellite, or other pay tv services. |

Message | This doesn't work, on the one hand we allow pornography for adults and on the other hand we would isolate it. It think its up to the private television compagnies to make these decissions and parents know as much as we do that children can't watch that kind of television. |
