And we also have so many conflict before that our current budget is only change because it's stupid to spend that moch money on defence. | Message | OOC: lol, I like that our budget inspires arguments. The democrat party is largely correct though, our economy would definetely suffer terribly with that level of defence spending. It was, however, only around 2/3rds of its current level for as long as I can remeber until very recently, after i came back and found we had a 400 billion BEI surplus and put that into defence since we looked like we would be going to war with you. Then there was the Crusades and now the Luthori occupation, it just hasn't made much sense to start decreasing the budget. IC: "We support this defence cut as a step towards better relations. Unfortunately due to the Luthori occupation we cannot make a substansial cut in our own budget, however we have made a smaller cut to ur own budget." |
