Bill: Denationalization of Power Grids Act of 2123
Details
Submitted by[?]: Mouvement des Conservateurs
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2125
Description[?]:
Fellow members of the National Forum, Most power providing compagnies are private enterprises so we think our national power grids should be regulated on the same manner. Private companies have, as said many times, often a better management system, stimulation and ambition to invest then nationalized companies, this all in the advantage of the consument, the Rildanor citizen. However, we feel that power grids should be operated by one single private company because we often have power plants established in one district, that provides power for several districts and several power grid providers would often result into conflicts. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy on the nation's power grid.
Old value:: The national grid is fully owned by the state.
Current: The national grid is fully owned by the state.
Proposed: Multiple private companies each own and maintain sections of the national power grid.

Message | No way! We will not stand for this. The national grid, at least, should be owned by multiple companies. One company is a monopoly and something this government cannot possibly support. |
Date | 02:43:24, October 12, 2005 CET | From | Parti Monarchiste Catholique | To | Debating the Denationalization of Power Grids Act of 2123 |
Message | We agree that it would be better if the grid was owned by multiple comapanies. However, if this is non-negotiable we will still support because any form of privitization of the power grid is a step in the right direction. |

Message | The bigger the role of the private sector the more efficient the economy gets. Let the private companies own the grid and if they fail they will go bankrupt. |
