Message | We don't have any "States". |
Date | 18:11:16, October 12, 2005 CET | From | Tuesday Is Coming | To | Debating the Power From the States IV |
Message | It makes more sense than "power from the nations." The basic idea is to reverse the "Power to the states" bills. Do you have a better suggestion? |

Message | "Power to the State" would be more accurate |

Message | As this does the opposite of the power to the states bills, I shall continue to name my own bills without your help. |

Message | You probably overlooked the importance of the letter "s". The earlier bills were called "Power to the States" because we had states. Now we have nations. However, in removing authority from the newly-named "nations" you are implementing policies in a way which imposes the authority of central government. You are, therefore, assigning "Power to the State". It's a subtlety thing, you're probably right not to let that trouble you after all this time. |

Message | As none of these bills send any of the power to the central government, and the main theme is taking the power away, it is reasonable to ignore you. |

Message | The intended theme may be the taking away of power. But who or what is doing the taking? The action of bringing the bills presupposes that central government has the authority - and the desire - to strip powers from the nations. |

Message | It's an attmept to reverse bills called "devolution." Why not call it "reversing devolution"? We of course agree that the central government shoud not be permitted to over-ride laws passed by invidual nations. |

Message | "Reversing Devolutionary Tyranny" I, II, III,IV, etc. ? |
