We, the Parliament of the United Republics of Lodamun, do hereby establish the following rules for teh impeachment process.

The following procedures must be taken in an impeachment process:

1- Articles of impeachment must be introduced in Parliament citing the reasons for the impeachment.

2- Parliament will vote on the Articles of impeachment to allow debate on them. Only a majority of votes present in Parliament is needed.

3- A debate of the impeachment shall be conducted chaired by the Chief Justice, if a Supreme Court exists but they shall not play any role in the decision, that is a sole power given to Parliament members.

4- During this debate phase, all arguments must be presented including additions to the charges if agreed to by a majority of votes present in Parliament in case objection occurs. if objection does not occur, the motion will be introduced without the need of a vote.

5- The government officials being impeached has the right to defend himself/herself from all charges but may not play a role in the decision making process, that is a sole power given to Parliament members.

6- After all arguments have been heard a final vote on the removal of the government official shall take place. A fifty-nine percent majority of votes in Parliament is needed for removal of the government official. If this threshold is not achived, the government official will be exonerated of all charges.

7- Upon finding of new evidence, the government official may be impeached again under the same charges and the process will follow steps one through six.

As a Constitutional Amendment, this bill requires two-thirds of Parliament to vote in favor.
