We, the Parliament of the United Republics of Lodamun, do hereby create the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The following clauses apply: 1) The Joint Chiefs of Staff do not hold any military power, all the military power is vested upon the President or Head of State. 2) The Joint Chiefs of Staff, alongside the Defense Minister and Prime Minister, are the main military advisers to the President. 3) The Joint Chiefs of Staff shall be nominated all at the same time by the President or Head of State and shall be confirmed by a simple majority of the votes casted at the time of the confirmation. 4) The following positions shall be members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Vice-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Chief of Staff Army Vice-Chief of Staff Airforce Chief of Staff Airforce Vice-Chief of Staff Chief of Naval Operations Vice-Chief of Naval Operations Commandant of the Marine Strike Force This is a Constitutional Amendment and requires a 2/3 majority of Parliament in order to be approved.
