Bill: Education Reform Bill of 2701
Details
Submitted by[?]: Rutanian Restoration Party
Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: June 2702
Description[?]:
A bill to give youths the freedom to choose whether or not they wish to be educated, and to allow more local control of the education systems. The Orange Party thoroughly believes that government closer to home is more effective than national government and that education is one of the most important services that government provides. It just makes sense that education should be in local hands. |

Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:

Message | The National Party of the Elites does not agree with Article 1. The state cannot commit such an irresponsible act. If children had the possibility to choose whether to go or not to the school, every school of the Commonwealth would be empty. This would have an extremely sinister effect on the economic, cultural life of the Commonwealth. The National Party of the Elites proposes that the choice should be made by the parents. Nevertheless we do agree with the decentralization of the educational system! |

Message | Mr speaker, the past government has fought hard to offer free education to the people of Rutania. The party does not support any form of devolution since the start and will not support. Local , private companies/government. Veronica Zoratatt IP Leader |
Date | 23:30:29, January 24, 2009 CET | From | National Equality Party | To | Debating the Education Reform Bill of 2701 |
Message | We at the NEP thoroughly disagree with this bill. Education should not be choice except for higher education such as college. We also believe that something as important as education should be the National Government's control. |

Message | We see Article 1 as the main point of contention here. If we removed this, would there be more support for the bill? |
