Bill: Retirement

Details

Submitted by[?]: TW@

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2703

Description[?]:

The TW@ party believes that to have a retirement age of 75 is too old. Before this age many adults are becoming unable to work, and struggling, but feel that they must continue working until the reach the age of 75 to recieve a full pension. Dropping this age would give these people to relax in the last years of their lives, and to achieve goals (such as traveling to certain countires, or new hobbies) while they still can. They have worked for the past 50 (give or take a few) years, and should be able to retire at no less than 70, but still given the choice to continue working if they so choose

Message"75 is better, you get a longer working life out of the person..." this is a communist belief. In the last 5 years the people work very inneficently, and slowly as they are too old, and struggle with the work

MessageAccording to several articles, including http://ezinearticles.com/?Whats-the-Ideal-Retirement-Age?&id=544223 the ideal retirement age is between 65 and 55. This is still above the age, and not perfict

Message75 is definitely too high and unfair on those who struggle to work, they cannot receive their full pensions until they retire

MessageAlthough your arguments about this stopping communism were utterly ridiculous, we will support in the meanwhile.

Messageyes it has nothing to do with communism... it is merely forcing people to work until they die in some cases... (male death age can be around 74 average in many countries)

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.
