This bill is to try and reduce any mistakes made by the police carrying lethal firearms, without reducing the security of our citizens The police are allowed to carry non lethal firearms, such as tasers, stun batons, and tranquilizers, but not lethal weapons. This means that they can immobilise, and temporally take out any suspects, without causing any/causing minimal long term damage, and only in extreme circumstances are specially trained arms teams sent out, which there are always a minimum number of ready. |
