MessageSo the government is going to implement mandatory pregnancy tests every month for every woman in the country to determine if she will have a child? What about other types of families, such a single-parent homes or same-sex couples? This is ill-thought out.

MessageMandatory pregnancy tests? Where are you getting this from? You guys are getting confused; the law does is not regulating if someone can have a baby or not nor does it say anything about pregnancy tests. The law proposed is revolved around qualifications for new parents, not pregnacy tests. This proposed policy does not have authority if a woman can or not have a baby for one and two nowhere does it say that the national government can go into the bedroom and stop them from attempting to have a child. It is just a simple test, not the one you're thinking about probably, but a minor set of questions on basic parental skills outlining standard guidelines. If they fail horribly then they will be on notice and they'll be put on watch for a period of time with visits or calls. We're not taking the child away.

Male same sex couples can't have children and their only option is adoption which, correct me if I'm wrong, is strictly regulated by the national government. Adopting requires a number of tests to be filled out, versus a single proposed here, and a rigorous program to determine if they are fit for adoption. So having highly restrictive laws for adoption and such a radical law where no sort of standards are held towards new parents there are no provisions? It is just a simple test, not even a test. As for female same sex couples, I'm assuming they will towards artificial insemination, and will be treated like everyone else with a simple parental test. Single parents too, they'll take the same test.

It is only one test and it will eventually be up to the hospitals themselves to give out these basic tests anyway. New parents can simply fill the test out in the waiting room.
