Bill: Gov.0094.2703

Details

Submitted by[?]: 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2703

Description[?]:

As we are bringing in a surplus of 28 billion a year we feel now it prudent to increase spending in areas that need it.

The Department of Defence's budget will be increased by 15 billion.
This will allow the department to more better organize and operate our military as well as take on new projects.

The Federal Bureau of Science & Technology's budget will be increased by 5 billion.
This will allow the FBST to take on more R&D projects without having to cut funding to other programs.

Even after these spending increases we will still have (a growing) 8 billion annual surplus.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
