| "In order to ensure that the former Pontesian Protextorates remain as democratic as possible, we propose the following sytem of appointing representatives to the Pontesi-Beitenyu Peace Committee." Article 1: (a) Beiteynuese Representatives to the Pontesi-Beitenyu Peace Committee shall be elected by a first past the post style voting system, with the two candidates with the most votes being elected. (b) Only those with Beiteynuese citizenship and having their main place of residence with the borders of Givat Aliyah, Y'Seah, or Nantashem shall be eligible to vote. (c) Representatives shall serve five year terms, commencing on the first 4th March after this bill passes and every five years thereafter. (d) Elections to elect representatives shall take place one month before the Representatives is due to take office, i.e. on the first weekday in February. Article 2: (a) The Knesset may pass a resolution dismissing any Represntative to the Pontesi-Beitenyu Peace Committee by a majority vote. (b) In the event of the Knesset passing said resolution, The Nesi HaMedina shall be responsible for selecting a new Representative to serve until the nest scheduled election. This shall be put to vote after the Pontesians have signed the agreement. |
