Bill: The use of corporal punishment

Details

Submitted by[?]: Christian Democrat Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2705

Description[?]:

Recently a bill was passed allowing corporal punishment at the teacher's discretion.

This is a serious step down from our civilised society. Do we really want to go back to the days where children sit quivering in their seats, knowing that a wrong answer or a smudge of pen will lead to them being given a beating. Our government has actively supported child abuse.

We believe many parties may have voted for the bill tempted by the government helping out with tuition fees, so this gives the chance to keep that while changing the horrible parts of the bill that has just gone through.
