Bill: Declaration of War Against Cobura

Details

Submitted by[?]: Confederacy of Social Darwinists

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2706

Description[?]:

Through the course of history, in certain times, it becomes necessary for those persons who are loyal and honorable to raise up to the time with all their strength, regardless of what the cost might be to themselves, to defend both the week from the despotic influences of tyrants and to defend their nations from the mechanizations of said tyrants.

To these ends it will be best to explain that the people of Cobura, in recent years, have faced an ever more despotic government. They have sent heir economy collapse under the tyranny of a few strong persons who seek to milk every penny out of the people of Cobura. They have had their constitution, the basic series stating the rights of the people, suspended so that a despot might better install himself in a position of authority over the people.

With that said the people of Cobura have only seen a change of governments that continues most of the policies of the former regime of terror in an effort to force their Socialistic beliefs upon their people in a ill fated attempt to usurp their rights and enforce their morals upon the people.

For these reasons we, the elected representatives of the people of Zardugal, have chosen to aid the people of Cobura in liberating themselves from the despotic influences of their government and to help the free people of Cobura establish a new government that might truly represents the will of the people.

Though the current government is relatively peaceful it still is unstable and has it greatly controlled by remnants of the former regime. These persons need to be weeded out completely and it there will be a great need for Zardugal to establish a new government in Cobura, a government that meets certain standards at the least.

Thus we, as the dually elected representatives of Zardugal, do hereby declare war upon the government of Cobura.

MessageIf what you say is true then yes something must be done, but we had best make sure that this is the right course of action and that this will cause more good then harm, to that end if this is deemed truly necessary you have our support.

Message"Hmm... I really fail to see the point of this. The current Coburan government was elected by the people, and there is no communist or fascist presence in the Assembly or anywhere else...how is that 'despotic'? In addition, a war would only cause a big infrastructural mess to clean up, for a purpose of overturning a democratically elected government of a sovereign state. "In response to the threat from Zardugal, I hereby decree that 75% of the Coburan Army shall be deployed to the border with Zardugal, for defense purposes. Also, the militia of our own party, the Fricken Fighters, will also be deployed to assist them. Long live Cobura!" - President Skylar Cheeseman

MessageThe United Republics of Lodamun has always been an ally of Cobura. While we applaud the efforts of Zardugal to help the people of Cobura, it is quite understandable that war is not the solution to this.

Cobura has a democratically elected government who, so far to my understanding, has done what the people have asked them to do.

I would also like to mention that diplomacy is the way to go in this case. Economic sanctions or any other method may work and it is certainly much better than war.

To conclude, our Government has offered Cobura and Zardugal to act as the middle man or negotiator to solve any conflicts between the two nations. We shall remain neutral and we hope that both countries accept our offer so you can solve this problem as quickly and as bloodless as possible.

Thank you very much,

Jonathan Kynes
